And how were the VC treated by the NVA and the communists after the war? The communists were fighting for power, so get off the high horse. The fact that they conned the VC in the South into believing that they were fighting for independence from the "imperialist aggressor" just reinforces the first rule of war...never tell your troops what they're really fighting for. The NVA was logistically backed by China. Why wouldn't the ARVN seek help from an equally big backer?
